Agnes Dolega has been painting, primarily in oil, for more than 30 years. Born in Poland to a creative family, Agnes was exposed to art from a very young age. While still in highschool Agnes began supporting herself by painting professionally, mainly for the Catholic University of Lublin (Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski) and it's various professors and affiliated organizations. When she was not busy painting or studying, Agnes was involved with the provincial Aeroclub where she learned to skydive and got her glider pilots license. After highschool she briefly studied Architecture at University eventually choosing to return to painting and skydiving. Her involvement with the Aeroclub as a professional competitor gave her the opportunity to travel Europe, gaining more inspiration for her art and the opportunity to paint as a freelance illustrators for an Aviation magazine. In 1978, Agnes took time off from athletics to raise her family. Eventually moving to Germany and then Canada, Agnes continues to paint and still finds great inspiration in the land and culture around her.
