Agnes Dolega has been painting, primarily in oil, for more than 30 years. Born in Poland to a creative family, Agnes was exposed to art from a very young age.

While still in highschool Agnes began supporting herself by painting professionally, mainly for the Catholic University of Lublin (Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski) and it's various professors and affiliated organizations. When she was not busy painting or studying, Agnes was involved with the provincial Aeroclub where she learned to skydive and got her glider pilots license. After highschool she briefly studied Architecture at University eventually choosing to return to painting and skydiving. Her involvement with the Aeroclub as a professional competitor gave her the opportunity to travel Europe, gaining more inspiration for her art and the opportunity to paint as a freelance illustrators for an Aviation magazine.

In 1978, Agnes took time off from athletics to raise her family. Eventually moving to Germany and then Canada, Agnes continues to paint and still finds great inspiration in the land and culture around her.

Brief Time line:
1999-present, Edmonton
Taking orders for custom painting of commissioned artwork.
Participated in Old Strathcona's Annual Whyte Avenue Art Walk.
Supported Latitude 53 and COMPRU fundraisers with donations of art.

1994-1998, Edmonton
Painted murals and paintings for show homes.

1993-1994, Edmonton
Exhibited artwork at art and craft shows.

1992-1993, Edmonton
Exhibited work in commercial gallery on Boardwalk.

1989-1992, Edmonton
Oil paint and ink drawings for art studio Torch Art.

1987-1989, Edmonton
Illustration for posters and advertising.

1972-1986, Poland & Germany
Worked on commission for various clients painting originals art and reproductions of old masters. Main clients included the Catholic University of Lublin (Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski, KUL) legal offices and architectural firms. Also painted water color illustrations of airplanes and aerospace insignias for an aviation magazine.
